4-Vehicle crash in Charleston sends 3 injured people in hospital, report

Charleston, South Carolina – Sunday afternoon crash temporarily closed part of the Highway 78 within the Summer Wood subdivision of Summerville. The road was closed in both directions.

According to the reports, total of four vehicles were involved in the crash which took place in front of 10503 Hwy 78.

Three people with non-life-threating injuries were transferred to the nearest hospital for treatment.

The collision was categorized as “serious with entrapment.”

No official statement was given about what happened. However, according to unofficial statements taken from drivers involved in the wreck, the accident happened when one vehicle crossed over the double yellow to overtake the vehicle in front of it.

The road was fully opened around 5 p.m. Sunday.
