American Red Cross assisting one local resident and their dogs after Monday afternoon fire almost completely damaged their home in North Charleston

North Charleston, South Carolina – North Charleston resident and two dogs are being displaced after their home was almost completely damaged in a Monday afternoon fire incident.

According to the available information, the incident happened Monday afternoon and fire crews were dispatched to the scene to Delancey Circle around 4:30 p.m. When they arrived at the scene, a single-story was already in flames.

Per the first responders, heavy smoke was already coming from the roof when they arrived at the location, and fire crews immediately started extinguishing the fire.

North Charleston, C&B, and Goose Creek Fire Departments crews all responded following the 911 call.

The cause of the fire remains unknown at this point. There is an ongoing investigation that should reveal what led to the incident.

No injuries or fatalities were reported in the incident, but one resident and two dogs were displaced since the property was completely damaged.

The American Red Cross confirmed that they were already assisting the local resident and the dogs.
