The incident occurred at around 12:45 p.m. when she jumped from the second-tier balcony level of a housing unit and fell on the first floor.

The woman was transported to the Medical University of South Carolina for treatment of what were said to be life-threatening injuries.

The 38-year-old Patricia Sizemore of Charleston succumbed to her injuries on Friday afternoon at approximately 1:41 p.m., according to the Charleston County Coroner’s Office.
