Charleston man arrested for an October gas station robbery

Charleston, South Carolina – A Charleston robbery suspect identified as Ashton Low was arrested by the Charleston Police Department officers for a gas station robbery that took place in October last year, the department confirmed.

According to the incident report, the robbery took place on Oct. 10, 2021, around 11:30 p.m. at the Circle K gas station located on Ashley River Road.

On the day of the incident, the suspect allegedly went into the gas station store, grabbed a display case of BIDI stick vapes and left the store running.

The gas station store employee went after him, chased him and at one point caught him.

That’s the moment when the suspect threatened the employee that he has a gun and will shoot him if he continues to chase him.

The store employee went back to the store and called the police.

The suspect faces armed robbery and possession of a weapon during a violent crime and he is held on a $100,000 bond.
