Early morning crash closes I-26 and US 17A, exit ramp reopens half an hour later

Summerville, South Carolina – Thursday morning crash closed multiple lanes and exit ramp near I-26 and US 17A.

Crews that were on the scene informed that a vehicle overturned around at the end of the mile marker 199 exit ramp around 6:30 a.m.

Crews were working on the scene for almost an hour and multiple lanes and the exit ramp were closed during that time.

Crews managed to turn the vehicle upright, but the vehicle then broke free and rolled down the embankment and into a tree.

Half an hour later, crews opened all lanes and exit ramp for traffic.

No information about possible injuries was given.
