Charleston, S. C. – Authorities closed the area for several hours as a result of a fatal crash in downtown Charleston.
The accident happened minutes after 4 a. m. at I-26 at Meeting Street.
Only one vehicle was involved in the fatal crash.
Several police vehicles have blocked the area and this will last for several hours.
The reason for the crash is still unknown at this point.
