Friday late-night motorcycle wreck fatal for the driver, report

Charleston, South Carolina – Robert “Bobby” Fiaccato, 30-year-old of Summerville, was the victim in the fatal wreck that took place Friday late night.

According to police report, the accident happened around 11:30 p.m. Friday at the Von Ohsen Road and Lincolnville Road intersection.

The motorcyclist suffered heavy injuries and was transferred to the nearest hospital where he died shortly after.

The police said Fiaccato was driving north on Lincolnville Road toward Summerville when a vehicle came into his lane while trying to turn left onto Von Oshen Road.

The car turned just in front of him and he hit it. The heavy crash resulted with fatal injuries.

The driver of the car also suffered minor injuries and was taken in hospital for treatment.

The cause and circumstances of the crash remain under investigation.
