I-26 crash outside Orangeburg, one dead as a result of the accident

Orangeburg, South Carolina – Single vehicle collision results with one dead along Interstate 26 in Orangeburg County.

According to the report, the accident happened Thursday afternoon on April 1st around 6 p.m.

The driver of the SUV ran off the roadway to the left into the median, where the vehicle struck a cable barrier.

The driver suffered fatal injuries as a result of the wreck.

The name of the driver was not publicly released. The ongoing investigation should reveal the reason for the accident.
