Long-awaited shopping center in North Charleston begins construction – Lidl, Ross and HomeGoods to be featured

Charleston, S. C. – The long-awaited new shopping mall in North Charleston begins construction.

Cedar Grove Shopping Center in North Charleston will be a smaller version of The Corner at Wescott. The building process will be slower in the spring months as site and infrastructure work proceeds.

There will be many popular stores and brands including Lidl, Ross, HomeGoods, PetSmart, and Five Below.

The expected opening is scheduled for Spring 2022 if weather conditions and pandemic allow it.

The shopping mall will be located in front of the Cedar Grove neighborhood, at the intersection of Dorchester Road and Trump Street.
