Monday afternoon earthquake reported in Jenkinsville, South Carolina

Jenkinsville, South Carolina – Those living in the Jenkinsville area might had felt the Monday afternoon earthquake.

According to USGS, the 2.2 magnitude earthquake hit around 12:40 p.m. Monday.

Jenkinsville is about 19 miles from Newberry and 28 miles from Columbia.

So far, several earthquakes had been reported in Palmetto State.
