Multi-vehicle early morning crash closed Dorchester Road, reopens after less than hour and a half

Early morning crash with several vehicles involved closed Dorchester Road for around hour and a half, authorities confirmed.

According to information provided by the North Charleston Police, the crash took place around 6:45 a.m. and closed the eastbound lanes of Dorchester Road at Foxwood Drive, causing a backup as far as 4 miles.

Several people involved in the crash suffered only minor injuries. No serious injuries were reported at the scene.

The road was closed at 6:45 a.m. right after the crash and was reopened around 8:00 a.m.
