Myrtle Beach, S. C. – Long awaited project finally opens this year. You can find the latest pictures of the surf and skate park which will also have an amphitheater on our website.

The city gave American Surf Parks 15 years approval for lease in May last year to build the project. It will cover an area of 20 acres of land between the sports center and Grissom Parkway.

Although it has not started yet, the company claims that it will realize its investment as soon as possible and that the park will be opened this year.

There will be a surf lagoon that makes four different types of waves for all experience levels. The park will also have a skate park, climbing walls and even a child care center.

About $41 million will be needed to build the park, while the city expects an annual revenue of $450,000.
