Only 1,921 people visited the Coastal Carolina Fair on Thursday, much more people expected during the weekend

Coastal Carolina Fair opened its doors for those interested on Thursday and is about to last until November 7.

According to the fair organizers, only 1,921 people visited the fair on its opening day which is far below the average compared to previous years.

A spokesperson for the Coastal Carolina Fair said that the one-day average most years sits around 7,000 people. In 2019, when Colt Ford was performing, 6,118 people were in attendance.

According to the organizers, soggy conditions likely played a major role.

Much more attendees are expected during the weekend, while 250,000 people are expected to visit the fair until November 7.
