Overnight shooting in Bluffton results with 23-year-old dead, police report

Bluffton, South Carolina – Friday night shooting in Bluffton results with one 23-year-old killed, local authorities confirm.

According to the incident report, the shooting took place Friday night just before midnight in the parking lot of a business on Bluffton Road.

The victim was unresponsive when deputies arrived at the scene of the shooting.

The victim has been identified as the Marlon Lyons Jr., of Port Royal. Shortly after the arrival of the EMS crews, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

No arrests were made and police are looking to determine what led to the shooting and who shot the victim to death.

An autopsy is set for this week.

The investigation about the case is ongoing. Police are asking everyone with information in regards to the incident to call 911 or Cpl. Andrew Calore at 843-255-3411.
