Saturday early morning crash in Jasper County on I-95 South fatal for one person, another injured

Jasper County, South Carolina – Early morning crash on Saturday in Jasper County was fatal for one person, while another was injured and transferred to hospital, South Carolina Highway Patrol said.

According to the troopers, the fatal incident took place just before 5 a.m. on I-95 South when a vehicle hit a tree and flipped over.

Per the incident report, only one vehicle was involved in the crash and a total of six people were inside the vehicle at the time of the incident.

One person was pronounced dead at the scene, while another was transferred to a local hospital for treatment. No more details about the condition of the injured passenger were given.

Fortunately, the rest four passengers were unhurt in the incident.

South Carolina Highway Patrol is expected to release more details, including the identity of the victim, in the upcoming days.

The investigation is still ongoing.
