Shooting in nightclub in Marlboro County fatal for one man, report

Marlboro County, South Carolina – One man is dead as a result of the shooting that took place in nightclub in Marlboro County.

The shooting occurred on Monday morning in Ellison nightclub located on Highway 401 near the McColl community of Marlboro County.

Shortly after the shooting, the victim was transferred to the nearest hospital for treatment where he later died as a result of the gunshot wounds.

The investigation is at early stage and no more details were provided.

The club has been operating for more than 20 years and nothing similar happened before. It’s a club with good reputation, locals say.

More information is expected during the day or tomorrow. This is a developing story.
