Late Thursday night single vehicle crash near Moncks Corner sends one person to hospital for treatment.

According to officials, the accident took place in the area of Sunview Avenue in Whitesville. As a result of the accident, highway 17-A southbound was closed during the investigation. It was fully opened later for traffic.

Fire and police crews didn’t release the identity of the driver. No more details about the accident were provided too. The investigation is ongoing and we expect official announcement regarding the incident and the condition of the victim.

While part of the highway was closed, drivers had to use alternative routes.
