The bill heads to the Senate, legalization of medical marijuana in South Carolina one step closer

Columbia, South Carolina – Medical marijuana legalization is one step closer in South Carolina as the bill that allow the use has made it to the Senate.

After pushing for seven years, now The Republican lawmaker thinks it can finally pass.

However, even with Sen. Tom Davis’ optimism, there might be some difficulties once again.

Law enforcement and some groups of doctors are against the legalization at this point as they think the community is not prepared for this yet.

The bill also faces a deadline to pass through the Senate by next week or it becomes almost impossible for the House to take it up this session.
