Two vehicle early morning crash closed Highway 78, now reopened

DORCHESTER COUNTY, S.C. – Early morning crash near Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office and Scout Boats closed the road for some time. Following the investigation, the road was reopened.

According to the reports, the crash happened between an SUV and concrete truck around 6:35 a.m.

The road was closed for several hours while crews were investigating the scene.

Traffic was diverted to Deming Way during the closure. But deputies say the roadway has reopened, with traffic moving slowly.

Officers said there were injuries, but no details were provided for the conditions of the involved.
