‘You better spend your time at the border’ Gov. McMaster responds to VP Kamala Harris on her SC visit

South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster gave his thoughts on Twitter on VP Kamala Harris upcoming visit to South Carolina this week.

Kamala Harris will visit Greenville on Monday as a part of the Biden Administration’s push to get more Americans vaccinated against COVID-19. South Carolina is one of the states with low numbers of vaccinated people. Vice President will end up the week in Atlanta according to an administration official.

Some other Biden Administration officials, including First Lady Jill Biden, will visit North Carolina, Tennessee, Alabama and Louisiana this week to push the vaccination rate in these states in an effort to achieve the goal of getting shots in the arms of 70% of U.S. adults by July 4.

Vice President Kamala Harris is being criticized lately for not visiting the southern border with Mexico since taking officer. These critics especially comes from Republicans as the immigration crisis on the border increases day by day.

This is what Gov. McMaster tweeted: “We are always happy to welcome visitors, but I believe the Vice President’s valuable time would be better spent at the border trying to fix the mess created by the Biden administration’s failed immigration policies.”
