26 New deaths, 1,600 new confirmed cases, 4 days this week number of cases below 2,000

Charleston, S. C. – For the fourth time this week the number of positive cases was below 2,000 in one day.

South Carolina added 1,617 new cases in Saturday, 400 probable cases and 26 new deaths. The number of probable Covid-19 deaths was 17.

The Department of Health and Environmental Control announced that the state total is 434,589 confirmed cases, 66,688 probable cases, 7,352 confirmed deaths and 904 probable deaths.

More than 28,000 tests were made in Friday and the percent positive was 8.3%.
