CHARLESTON ZIPLINE ADVENTURES

Charleston Zipline Adventures was created out of the owner’s love of the outdoors and adventure. They wanted to give everyone, locals and tourists alike, an opportunity to have an adventure of their own in the great outdoors.

Andrea and Matthew Canberg have been involved in the outdoor adventure industry in one way or another for more than 25 years. Andrea has led and planned a wide range of outdoor adventures from raft guiding to leading backcountry trips in the mountains of Colorado, taking groups trekking in Nepal, teaching college students about sustainable tourism in Costa Rica, to taking a group of students on a Water Mission in Kenya.

Matthew also has significant experience in the outdoor adventure industry. Matthew has taught college courses in outdoor education, managed ropes course and climbing wall programs for Charleston County Park and Recreation, and built ropes courses, climbing walls, and ziplines all over the country.

Together they decided to share their passion for adventure and the outdoors by creating Charleston Zipline Adventures. They wanted kids, parents, grandparents, and visitors to Charleston to be able to climb, zip, and play in the trees close to home-creating memories to last a lifetime. Charleston Zipline Adventures is located just 5 miles North of Mount Pleasant and 15 miles from downtown Charleston in the small community of Awendaw, SC.

The Charleston Zipline Adventure Course was designed and built by Challenge Design Innovations, a leader in the Industry. The course is an ACCT certified course and meets or exceeds all industry standards in regards to guide selection and training, equipment, and inspections. All Guides fulfill rigorous and on-going training determined by the Association for Challenge Course Technology (ACCT). ACCT is the organization that sets standards for construction and operation of zip line tours.
