Crash in Galivants Ferry resulted with 1 dead and 3 injured

Horry County, S. C. – Two-vehicle crash on Barnhill Road in Galivants Ferry resulted with one dead and three people injured, officials say.

According to reports, the collision occurred Monday night around 9:25 p.m. near Sycamore Circle.

The accident happened when four-dour Nissan sedan traveling north tried to overpass another vehicle and directly hit a Jeep traveling the opposite direction.

Unfortunately, the driver of the Jeep was pronounced dead on the scene as a result of the heavy crash. Two other passengers in the vehicle were taken in hospital for treatment. Their condition is unknown.

The drive of the Nissan also sustained injuries and was transferred to hospital for treatment. The health condition for this driver also remains unknown.

According to authorities, the driver of Nissan was responsible for the crash as he made unlawful pass.
