Daily Covid-19 report: DHEC reports 637 news cases and 17 people died

Columbia, South Carolina – Latest Covid-19 adds 637 new positive cases in South Carolina according to the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control.

In the same report, 17 new deaths were added.

With the latest numbers, the total number of positive cases since the start of the pandemic reaches 470,805. The total number of reported deaths is 8,160.

The positivity rate was average for the latest period, 3.9%.

DHEC warns that although the positivity rate seems low, the spread is still high.
