Groceries, hygiene products and baby supplies to be given on Saturday, huge distribution event ahead of the holidays in North Charleston

North Charleston, South Carolina – Another huge distribution event is set to take place over the weekend in North Charleston and this time is just in time for the holidays helping those in need.

According to multiple reports, the event is scheduled to start at 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 18, and it will be held at Fort Dorchester High School.

The event is organized just in time ahead of the upcoming holidays in an effort to help those most in need.

The event will be organized in partnership with the City of Charleston, Charleston County Council, the North Charleston Police Department, Dorchester County Council, the Charleston Hispanic Association and Bundles of Joy.

As usual, groceries, hygiene products and baby supplies will be given out.

A press conference is taking place on Thursday regarding the holiday distribution event over the weekend in North Charleston.

“Improving the community and positively impacting all in need takes a team. Though our partnership with the Community Resource Center hundreds of thousands of pounds of groceries have been distributed this year. The center is working at a grassroots level to reach any and all who may need a helping hand in North Charleston, and I am excited once again to collaborate this coming Saturday for another mass food distribution at Fort Dorchester High School,” Mayor Keith Summey stated.

A press conference on the event is happening at North Charleston City Hall at 2 p.m.
