Late night Christmas Eve crash in Colleton County – one dead

CHARLESTON, S.C. – There is an ongoing investigation in a single vehicle crash that happened in Colleton County the South Carolina Highway Patrol confirmed.

The driver of a 2000 BMW was the victim of the crash that happened just after 10 pm.

The driver was the only one in the car and according to the officials he was not wearing a seatbelt. The vehicle ran off the right side of the road, struck a ditch and overturned.

The vehicle was traveling west on Green Pond Road (South Carolina Highway 303).

The identity of the driver is still unknown.
