Multiple food giveaways Tuesday throughout the Lowcountry

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Those looking for assistance this Thanksgiving can drop by food distribution events happening across the tri-county on Tuesday.

Beginning at 9:00 a.m., the National Action Network is handing out food to Berkeley County residents at 418 Main St. in Moncks Corner. Everyone is asked to stay in their car in order to be served.

The North Charleston Police Department will also host a food giveaway on Tuesday, in partnership with the Carlos Dunlap Foundation. This event includes cooked turkeys and meals for those in need. You can also grab a hot meal at this event. It’s happening at the Community Resource Center at 3947 Whipper Barony Lane in North Charleston.

1,000 turkeys will be given away at the Blue Note Bistro in North Charleston at 1:00 p.m. (7550 Dorchester Road).

(UPDATE: This event has been canceled.) Another one in North Charleston will be hosted at Royal Baptist Church. This free food giveaway will begin at Noon. The church is located at 4761 Luella Ave. in North Charleston.
