North Charleston, South Carolina – One of the victims that were shot and injured in the North Charleston shooting incident on Sunday has died, the North Charleston Police Department confirmed.
According to the incident report, the shooting took place around 1:15 a.m. at the 52 Connector and authorities were dispatched shortly after the shooting.
When first responders arrived at the scene, they found three victims shot and injured. Charleston County deputy attempted to calm down one victim who had suffered a gunshot wound. Another victim was found on the ground on the driver’s side of a vehicle and a third was found in the seat of the vehicle, the report states.
All three victim were transferred to hospital for treatment. No official information was given by the authorities about the victim’s condition.
The identity of the dead victim was not immediately released by the local authorities.
The case remains under investigation by the North Charleston Police Department and the Charleston County Coroner’s Office.
