One person is dead as a result of the Saturday night shooting in North Charleston apartment complex, ongoing investigation

North Charleston, South Carolina – Saturday night apartment complex shooting in North Charleston was fatal for one person, the North Charleston Police Department confirmed.

This has been the second fatal shooting in North Charleston on Saturday.

According to the police, the shooting incident took place at the Highland Exchange located on 1945 Hanahan Rd. near the Hanahan Exchange Park around 8:20 p.m.

Officers with the North Charleston Police Department responded at the scene following a 911 call in regards to shots fired.

When responding officers arrived at the scene, they found one male victim suffering gunshot wounds who was in critical condition. Despite the life saving measures, the man died at the scene.

The identity of the man was not immediately released by the authorities.

There is ongoing investigation about the shooting incident that should reveal what led to the incident. There are no shooting suspects at this time.
