South Carolina joins the list of states suing president Joe Biden, SC attorney general to file lawsuit over healthcare worker vaccine mandates

Charleston, SC – President Joe Biden has been under pressure lately as soon as it was announced that vaccine mandates will be enforced starting January next year. Numerous GOP-led states announced that they filed or will file lawsuits against the president over the vaccine mandates.

Now, South Carolina also joins the list of states that are about to file lawsuit against the president Biden.

As multiple sources reported, South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson said Monday he plans to sue the Biden Administration over vaccine mandates for healthcare workers.

This is the brief statement Wilson released Monday evening:

President Biden has once again overstepped his legal authority and overreached his power. The President is not above the law. I fully support the rights of our healthcare heroes in opposition to mandatory COVID vaccines. We intend to file suit in the very near future.

Additionally, according to the vaccine mandate policy, all workers in companies with more than 100 employees are mandated to get the vaccines no later than Jan. 4 otherwise they will have to undergo weekly Covid-19 testing and wear face masks while at the job.

The announcement for this vaccine mandate came last week by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration and is expected to mandate more than 80 million workers.

Wilson last week also said that he would also fight the Biden Administration’s private employer vaccine mandate in what appears to be separate lawsuit.

He called that rule “garbage” and “unconstitutional.”

A federal court halted the mandate for private employers over the weekend.
