South Carolina records over 1,300 new cases, above 15 percent positive

It’s now the sixth straight day with over 1,000 new COVID-19 cases in South Carolina, with every day in November reaching above 10 percent positive.

The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control announced 1,339 new cases, 10 probable cases, two new deaths and zero probable deaths.

This brings the total to 184,360 confirmed cases, 11,147 probable cases, 3,846 total deaths, and 266 probable deaths.

With 8,694 individual tests reported statewide yesterday, 15.4 percent of those tests came back positive.

For cases, Charleston County led the Lowcountry with 78 new cases, but most of the new cases came from Greenville (231) and Spartanburg (104) counties. Horry and Anderson each had over 90 new cases as well.

For deaths, the two new deaths came from elderly individuals from York and Kershaw counties.
