The father who kidnapped his daughter arrested; child found safe

Dillon County, South Carolina – The father who kidnapped his daughter arrested and charged, the little girl found safe, police confirm.

Tracy Blackmon was arrested around 2 a.m. in Laurinburg area and the 18-month-old kidnapped daughter was with him, found safe.

Blackmon beat up a woman at the Latta Motel on Monday and kidnapped their little girl. Officers were searching the area along Highway 38 in the Oak Grove area of Dillon County.

Police also confirmed that the man was the father of the girl.

Latta police and the Marlboro County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the investigation.
