Single vehicle fatal crash on I-95, one dead

COLLETON COUNTY, S.C. – Single vehicle fatal crash results with one dead in Colleton County, the South Carolina Highway Patrol says.

The accident happened on I-95 South just 2 miles south of Walterboro.

According to reports, the accident took place around 12.15 a.m. Wednesday morning when Chevy Express Van traveling down I-95 veered off the road to the left and overturned.

When troopers arrived on the scene, they only found the driver in the car. Troopers ejected the man from the vehicle shortly after arrival and the man died on the scene.

Reportedly the driver was not wearing a seatbelt.

Further investigation should reveal the reason for the crash.
