Police officer fired for excessive use of force in multiple occasions

Columbia, S. C. – Columbia police officer was fired after found guilty for excessive use of force in multiple occasions.

The police officer used excessive force on at least eight people over the past five months. It is the same officer that shot a man in the head during a traffic stop.

Police officer Sean Rollins was fired last week after an internal review for unsatisfactory performance.

The firing came after The Post and Courier of Charleston reviewed police reports.

Columbia police officers average less than one use-of-force incident per year.
