TSA in urgent need of TSO’s at Charleston International Airport due to the expected increased number of passengers

North Charleston, South Carolina – The Transportation Security Administration says it needs to hire more security officers because a record number of people are anticipated to leave from Charleston International Airport this summer.

The Transportation Security Administration stated on Wednesday that the Charleston airport had urgent positions available for Transportation Security Officers and anyone interested is welcome to apply.

Paid training, yearly and sick leave, health care plans for full-time and part-time workers, and a 401k retirement plan are all part of the benefits package. Newly hired transportation security officers will get $16.9 per hour.

The Transportation Security Administration has announced that it would provide newly employed transportation security officers at Charleston International Airport with a $500 bonus at the beginning and an additional $500 after working for a period of one year.

It is worth noting that after six months of service, a transportation security officer is entitled to a wage raise, and those who work hours that are less desirable, such as early in the morning or at night, will be paid more.

Additional college tuition reimbursement for Transportation Security Officers is also available. Students are encouraged to submit applications given the TSA’s claims that it will meet their academic schedules.

Visit the website of the Transportation Security Administration and type “TSO” in the job title search box as well as “Charleston, SC” in the location search box in order to submit an application.
