3 Francis Marion University baseball team players arrested after hazing investigation

Florence County, South Carolina – Players from the Francis Marion University baseball team were arrested following an investigation about possible hazing.

According to the Florence County Sheriff’s Office, on Mitchell Carter, 21, David Tyler Mangum, 21 and Noah Hunter Jones, 21 were arrested on March 6th.

According to the officials, the three suspects are alleged to have “intentionally engaged in activity where underclass members of the baseball team were struck for the purpose of initiation causing harm to the victims.”

One of the victims was kept in hospital in need of medical treatment.

All three of the players were released the same day.

The investigation is still open and we expect more details soon. We will update the case.
