Argument over $500 goes wrong: Man fatally stabs mom, teenage sister, arrested when trying to board flight to California

Man was arrested and now faces multiple charges for fatally stabbing his mother and teenage sister in their home. The man has been identified as 20-year-old Burak H. who tried to flee the state after the murder.

According to police, officers responded to the home of 51-year-old I. Borat on Saturday in Texas, following a 911 call for disturbance. When first responders arrived on the scene, they found Borat and her 17-year-old daughter dead.

In the official statement, police said they were both stabbed to death.

Police started questioning the neighbors and Burak’s stepfather. The stepfather, who allegedly was just outside the house at the time of incident, identified Burak as the killer.

The police managed to locate Burak quick as they learned he was about to flee the state in San Francisco the same day. The investigation showed the killer already had a booked ticket and they waited him at the airport.

Burak was arrested while waiting in the line to board at Dallas/Forth Worth International Airport. He was immediately arrested and charged with two counts of capital murder.

The motive was not revealed by police, but in an unofficial discussion with an officer involved in the case, he said man killed his mother and sister following an argument over $500.

He has yet to enter pleas to the charges against him, and it was not immediately clear if he has retained an attorney.
