Charleston local resident wins $250,000 lottery ticket, opens college fund for grandchildren

Charleston, South Carolina – Lucky Charleston man wins big lottery ticket and will use the money for amazing purpose.

The man played $10 Queen of Hearts ticket that later turned into $250,000. According to the South Carolina Education Lottery, the man already opened a college fund for his grandchildren.

“It’s being used for good purposes, the same way the lottery proceeds are used to benefit students here in South Carolina,” he said.

The lucky ticket was sold in North Charleston at the Lil Cricket store along Dorchester Road.

As usual, the store where the ticket was sold receives a commission, in this situation $2,500.
