“The coward shoots them,” Man killed three and injured two women including a teen girl after short domestic dispute

The public is in complete disbelief following the Wednesday’s shooting when a suspect opened fire to five women, including a teenager, and killed three of them while leaving two others injured. The shooter is facing numerous charges and if found guilty, he will most probably spend the rest of his life behind bars.

According to the police report, the fatal shooting took place on Wednesday when the shooter, identified as the 19-year-old Z. Palmer, killed three women and injured two others in what appears to be ‘domestic-related’ shooting.

Virginia authorities were dispatched at the scene following a 911 call in regards to a shooting in the evening hours on Wednesday. When they arrived at the scene, the found five women suffering apparent gunshot wounds. Three of them were pronounced dead at the scene, while the others, including a 19-year-old teenage girl, were conscious as they suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

When first responders arrived at the scene, the suspect already fled the scene. Police were able to easily identify him since the women knew him and he was also well-known offender to the police with previous history of violence. Police didn’t reveal how the victims were related to the shooter.

The victims were identified as the 42-year-old Detra. B, 45-year-old Nicole L. and 44-year-old Sara C., while the identities of the injured women were not released. According to the police, one of the injured women is 39-year-old, while the other woman is a teenager, 19-year-old. Both of them are expected to recover from the injuries soon.

Local authorities were able to locate the suspect few hours after the incident and he was arrested around 10:30 p.m. the same day. Authorities revealed suspect’s identity on a press conference one day after the shooting incident.

If found guilty, Palmer will most probably spend the rest of his life behind bars as he faces numerous charges including three counts of second-degree murder, two counts of malicious wounding, and five counts of use of a firearm. He is being held without bond in the Norfolk County Jail, according to police.

According to WAVY, when Police Chief Larry Boone presented the case to the public, he was very emotional and upset of what had happened just like the public, who are in complete disbelief of the incident.

“The suspect shot one victim and as the community was trying to render aid, the coward shoots them,” he told the outlet. “This has to stop. We need to start speaking up because this, I’ve never seen this in my 30-year career: five women shot,” Boone added. “This nonsense has to stop and this idea that everybody can be saved, that’s gone by the way of the dodo bird.”

“She didn’t bother anybody.” the cousin of one of the victims told WTKR. “We’re just trying to figure out why. Why does this happen in this community? Innocent people? Three women? This has to stop.”

The motive behind the shooting still remains unknown.
