Two suspects arrested believed to be involved in July’s West Ashley fatal shooting when one person was killed

Two suspects are behind bars believed to be responsible for the drive-by shooting in West Ashley when one person was killed.

According to the police report, the incident took place on July 19 when deputies were dispatched on Corral Drive in the Ponderosa subdivision in regards to a person shot in the afternoon hours.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found one male victim with apparent gunshot wounds. He was unresponsive at the time and was pronounced dead shortly after.

On Thursday, detectives with the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of two juveniles accused in a fatal shooting.

Authorities said that more arrests are possible in the upcoming period in regards to the same shooting incident.

The juveniles were taken to the juvenile detention center as soon as they were arrested on Thursday.

Because of their age, their identities were not revealed by police.
