Charleston, South Carolina – North Charleston Police Chief Reggie Burgess is negative for COVID-19, he said in a statement on Thursday.
Back in late May, Chief Burgess and his family were exposed to someone with COVID-19 while attending a funeral.
After being self-isolated since then, Burgess said he and his entire family is negative for the virus.
“My Family and I have all tested negative for the Coronavirus and I will be in the office on Friday, June 5,” Burgess said. “We would like to thank everyone for your thoughts and prayers, along with the many acts of kindness shown to us! May the LORD bless you all! Stay safe and stay healthy!”
