Dorchester County, South Carolina – South Carolina Highway Patrol is asking the public for help in identifying the vehicle or the suspect involved in the Wednesday’s hit-and-run incident in Dorchester County.
The fatal incident happened on East 3rd North Street on Wednesday around 12:30 a.m. when a vehicle hit a pedestrian and fled the scene.
As a result of the injuries sustained in the incident, the pedestrian was pronounced dead by the authorities who responded at the scene.
The driver fled the scene right after the incident and is still at large. The South Carolina Highway Patrol is asking for public’s help in identifying and locating the vehicle involved in the incident.
On Friday, law enforcement released an image of the make and model of the suspect’s vehicle, a 2008-2012 Chevy Traverse SUV.
The authorities believe the vehicle has damage to its front-end grill or hood.
