Summerville, South Carolina – The collision that took place near Summerville Thursday afternoon was fatal for one person while two others were injured, police say.
According to the police report, the incident took place around 4 p.m. when a 2008 Dodge Charger and a 2002 Buick 4-door were traveling west on Mallard Road.
Police said when the Buick attempted to make a pass, it and the Charger made contact sending both vehicles off the road.
As a result of the incident, the driver of the Buick suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. One passenger that was in the Buick was transferred to hospital for treatment.
The driver of the Charger was also injured and transferred to hospital for treatment.
Authorities didn’t provide additional information about the extent of their injures and their condition.
The incident is under investigation.
