Columbia teenager arrested and charged for shooting another teenager to death

Columbia, South Carolina – Columbia teenager was arrested and charged for shooting to death another teenager, the police confirm.

Raeneshia Nixon, 19-year-old, was the victim of a shooting that took place in February.

The identity of the 15-year-old arrested boy wasn’t revealed because of his age.

On February 4th, police responded to a 911 call regarding a vehicle collision to the 200 block of Charleswood Dr.

Nixon, who was the driver of the vehicle, was found on the scene after being shot multiple times in the upper body. She was transferred to the nearest hospital for treatment, but succumbed to the injuries shortly after.

Another boy, 16-year-old, was found in the car when officers arrived on the scene. According to the police, the boy was also arrested and charged with obstruction of justice for lying to investigators.

The 15-year-old will be in the juvenile wing of Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
