South Carolina woman charged in hit-and-run death of a teen, posted Facebook photo with the shattered windshield

Casey Schinestuhl, 24-year-old from South Carolina, has been charged with hit-and-run causing death when 18-year-old was found dead on a parking lot.

Shortly after the crash, Schinestuhl posted a photo her shattered windshield on Facebook claiming she was involved in a wreck with a tractor-trailer in Spartanburg.

But when the death of 18-year-old Elijah Major hit the news, Schinestuhl turned herself in with her father and explained everything to the officers.

Police said Major was found dead on a Spartanburg parking lot Friday morning around 7 a.m.

According to autopsy report, she died at least one hour before she was found.

Major’s mother said she was headed to work.
